Mindy Smoot; Bonim and Chalutzim Advisor
Mindy is a lifelong member of Shir Ami. From her baby naming to celebrating her wedding, the Shir Ami community has always been like family. As a religious school student, Mindy was made a member of the Hebrew National Honor Society, became a Bat Mitzvah, and was Confirmed. Mindy currently teaches in the Religious School, as well as 8th grade at William Penn Middle School in Pennsbury School District. Mindy earned her Bachelor of Art degree from Tyler School of Art, where she met her husband, Aaron. She earned her Masters of Elementary Education from Holy Family University in 2003.
Mindy enjoys her role as Advisor to Bonim & Chalutzim, providing many exciting and fun experiences, as well as new opportunities to form lifelong friendships.

Leslie is a wife, proud mother of two SHAFTY members, and part of the third generation of Shir Ami families. Originally from Maryland, Leslie moved to the area in 1992. She was an assistant teacher in the 2's and 3's at Shir Ami Early Learning Center from 1999-2001 and has been an active member of Shir Ami’s Sisterhood since 1999. She is currently on the Sisterhood executive board and can be seen painting faces each year at the Purim carnival as well as helping out at the Sisterhood gift shop. She runs a small painting business that does faux finishing, murals, and other decorative techniques. Leslie graduated from the University of Maryland with a bachelor’s degree in business. When she was 13, Leslie was the president of her junior youth group and is excited to be part of the
