Shir Ami Publicity Committee

Publicity is actively involved in submitting events affecting the life of the congregation of Shir Ami to the local news media. Although information is generally obtained from the calendar and web site of Shir Ami, any congregant or committee is invited to submit information to me that may be potentially newsworthy. Local newspapers are always anxious to write about human interest stories, either affecting the congregation as a whole or individual congregants in particular.

Publicity, in turn, serves as a contact point for outside agencies such as Jewish Federation to transmit information of interest and notices of events back to Shir Ami.

Publicity also assists in the placement of newspaper ads for various events and functions at the synagogue that require advertisement.

At present, this is a one-person committee. However, help is always appreciated to expand the scope and quality of the media coverage.
