Michael Levin Memorial
On August 1, 2006, Michael Levin (z”l), a Bucks County native who made aliyah in 2002, died defending the land of Israel he loved so dearly. Shir Ami has joined Jewish National Fund of Bucks County and Michael’s parents, Harriet and Mark Levin, in a community-wide campaign to celebrate Michael’s life and his commitment to the State of Israel. Through this effort, a permanent memorial will be created in Michael’s honor at Ammunition Hill in Jerusalem, site of the pivotal battle in the 1967 Six-Day War that enabled Israeli paratroopers to capture the Old City and reunify Jerusalem under Jewish rule for the first time in 2,000 years.
Gifts to JNF’s Michael Levin Ammunition Hill Memorial will go towards a special on-site recognition pillar in Michael’s memory and a plaque on JNF’s Wall of Honor, created to recognize the courage, heroism, and sacrifice of Jewish men and women who have served in armed forces throughout the world.
To make a contribution, please call the JNF office at (215) 832-0697 or visit
