The rockets have stopped falling. The soldiers have stopped fighting -- at least for the moment. But damage has been done and now is the time for us to reach out to our sisters and brothers in Israel and let them know we stand with them. The first allocations have already been made to meet the urgent needs of:  Leo Baeck Educational center to support the conversion of their shelter into a safe play area for children who can no long play in the parks or streets; Kibbutz Lotan and Kibbutz Yahel to assist in providing housing and food for the dozens of families from the north seeking refuge in the Negev; the Israel Movement for Progressive Judaism (IMPJ) to provide housing, food and other support to families seeking refuge from the ongoing attacks in the North; Congregation Or Hadash of Haifa to support the upgrade of their bomb shelter to better accommodate larger numbers of people; Magen David Adom to assist in providing emergency medical treatment to those wounded by terrorist bombings; United Jewish Communities/Jewish Agency for Israel to help provide spaces for Israeli children from Northern communities to youth villages in the central region.
