Gratz I.M. Wise Program

The Isaac Mayer Wise Department of Gratz College will again be conducting a two-year program of Jewish Studies for 11th and 12th graders. This fine program will return to Shir Ami in the fall on Wednesday evenings from 7:00 PM to 9:15 PM. Students who successfully complete the Isaac Mayer Wise program receive a Teacher's Certificate for Reform Religious Schools. In addition, 4 college credits may be obtained.

The curriculum includes History of Reform Judaism, Bible, Commentary, Sacred Texts of Judaism, Jewish Literature, Hebrew, Educational Theory and Methodology. In addition, a seminar course is taught by Rabbis Strom and Robinson and Cantor Elson for the students in the I. M. Wise program. A supervised program of student teaching is provided by Shir Ami.

To apply, students must have completed the 10th grade Confirmation Program at Shir Ami. Limited funds are available to help each student. Arrangements to attend must be made through Gratz College. For information, call (215) 635-7305 or write to the

GRATZ COLLEGE CONTINUES WITH RABBI STROM - APRIL 6, 2008
Gratz College study sessions continue with Rabbi Strom in his study on April 6, beginning at
9:00 AM with coffee, bagels and shmear. Remember, these sessions are a required part of the Gratz College I. M. Wise Program.

Limited funds are available to help each student. Arrangements to attend should be made through Gratz. For information, call 215-635-7305. All Gratz students will meet with the Rabbis and the Cantor for some Sunday Morning Seminars at 9:00 AM.
