ANNA GEVER MUSIC SHABBAT

A beautiful evening of song is being planned for Friday, April 18 on this year’s annual Anna Gever Music Shabbat. We have invited well-known and respected cantor, composer, choral director and recording artist Linda Hirschhorn to share her many talents with us. Linda is also the founder, director and creative force behind the women’s Jewish folk/jazz a cappella ensemble “Vocolot.” Her music has been published in many song anthologies of the last
fifteen years and her choral arrangements have been used in video, radio documentaries and dance scores around the world. Holding one’s own while singing in harmony is the paradigm by which she thinks the world will survive beyond the 21st century.
Cantor Hirshhorn will conduct the Kabbalat Shabbat service at 6:15 PM on April 18 with the assistance of our choir and SHIR KLEZ! band. The Kabbalat Shabbat service will be followed by a Shabbat dinner, which we hope you will attend, and the evening will conclude with a mini-concert by Cantor Hirschhorn and our choir following dinner. It will be a lovely celebration of song and fellowship, a great way to share an uplifting Shabbat together, and I hope you will plan to be here to share in what I know will be a very memorable Anna Gever
