Confirmation
The Confirmation year is a unique and memorable experience for our students. In a very real sense, it is the crown and pinnacle of our program of religious studies. The curriculum is a challenging, discussion- oriented agenda of the most important Jewish and personal issues of the day. Confirmation students meet with Rabbi Strom and our excellent Confirmation teachers to discuss important questions about God, Torah, the Jewish people, issues of birth, dating, marriage, death and bereavement.

In addition, through the year, special programs are planned for the Confirmation Class, including a class trip. The year culminates in a moving and memorable Confirmation service, which takes place on the holiday of SHAVUOT—a service which the students plan and write themselves, in which they participate and which often becomes one of the most significant events in their lives.

The Confirmation Class will feature a special trip or program during the year for 10th grade students only. We expect all of our students to attend as one of the requirements of the Confirmation Class. As is true of the Pre-Confirmation class, Mitzvah hours and service attendance are a part of the tenth grade class' requirements. The requirement for Confirmation is twelve hours of MITZVAH activities and attendance at eight Friday evening services at Shir Ami
