The Caring Committee works in small ways to make our large synagogue feel like a close caring community. We assist members of the congregation in time of need. We continue to cook and deliver a Kosher meal to your home if there is a death or serious illness in the family. The Caring Committee works in small ways to make our large synagogue feel like a close caring community. YOU can be part of our caring community in two NEW ways. If you have an extra place at your table for holiday meals or if you can offer a ride to services to a fellow congregant OR if you would like to come to a family holiday meal or need a ride to services WE WANT TO MAKE A MATCH. Please call the synagogue office at 215-968-3400 if you can offer or would like to accept a ride to services or a holiday invitation and we will match you to a congregant.

If you are interested in joining this committee please contact Marilyn Halpern 215-321-0408or email at
smhalpern@comcast.net.

Help Wanted—Caring Committee Members
Are you available to deliver meals to congregants in mourning? Visit congregants in need? Lead a shiva minyan?
NEEDED: SHIVA MINYAN LEADERS
The Caring Committee is looking for some volunteers to serve as shiva minyan leaders when the need arises. Although this activity is part of the responsibility of the Caring Committee, you do NOT have to be a member to do this mitzvah (however, we'd love to have you join us). You just have to want to help congregants who are in mourning by leading a minyan if the rabbis or cantor cannot. The commitment is not time consuming but does require a willing heart. A minimum of Hebrew would be helpful but not necessary.

If you are interested, please contact Marilyn Halpern at 215-321-0408 or at smhalpern@comcast.net
